Expecting?

Expecting Parents

expectingparentsHaving a baby is one of the most rewarding experiences in your life. At APL, we share in your joy and are committed to keeping your baby healthy. We look forward to many years of providing care and support to you and your family.

The professional team at APL delivers the quality care your child needs and the counsel you want. All of our pediatricians are board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Our experienced RNs (Registered Nurses) have special training in pediatric medicine and are a phone call away at (847) 398-0400 for prompt advice and to answer your questions.

The physicians at APL encourage all parents to give their child the Vitamin K injection after birth.  Please read this CDC handout for more information on why it is so important.

PRENATAL VISITS
We encourage you to schedule a prenatal consultation. This visit allows expectant parents to get acquainted with our medical staff, tour our office and ask questions.

Our prenatal visits are complimentary and you can schedule a consultation by calling our office at (847) 398-0400.

Please download the form below, fill it out and bring it with you to your prenatal consultation.

HOSPITAL AFFILIATIONS
All of our doctors are affiliated with the following hospitals:

Lurie Children’s Hospital  (Chicago)
Northwest Community Healthcare  (Arlington Heights)

Babies born at other area hospitals are welcome to come to our office after birth.

Most newborns are seen by a pediatrician within 1-2 days after discharge from the hospital.

BRINGING HOME A NEW BABY
bringhomebabyJPGTo better assist you, we have created a list of items to have in place so once you are back at home you can rest and enjoy the newest addition to your family. You may download this list and discuss it with our medical staff at your prenatal consultation.

Remember at APL, the first 5000 questions are free and none are too silly. You can visit our “For Parents” page to view information about immunizations, insurance and more.
